Gruyere Cheese Straws..........

There are still a few more "get-togethers" going on and this is a simple and easy snack. Give it a try and see if you don't agree with me.
Gruyere Cheese Straws
Sprinkle 1 cup of Gruyere grated cheese on your counter or pastry film, top with a sheet of thawed puff pastry. Sprinkle 1 more cup of Gruyere cheese, mixed with 2 tsp dry mustard on top of the puff pastry. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Roll out the puff pastry to a 12 inch square. Cut into 1 inch strips and twist each strip 2-3 times and transfer to a parchment paper lined sheet. Bake at 375F until puffed and browned in spots, 15 to 18 minutes. To serve, just put in a clear glass or on a tray. Be sure to make plenty as these will go very quickly.
