Last spring I started Basil from seed. I managed to save two for me and I gave several to my daughter. My plants have been thriving to say the very least. In fact, I can't keep up with using it. So I have tied several bundles to dry and keep for later use.

This is only the beginning of August so there is more Basil to come. A person can only eat so much Basil Pesto and I don't have the freezer trays to freeze it. So drying is the next best thing, at least for me. I'm afraid if I use my ice cube trays it may put the taste and smell of Basil in the trays. That would not be a good thing.
